Centurion (“Centurion”, or “the Group”), a global leader in equipment rentals, sales and services to a range of critical industries for complex, challenging and remote locations, has entered 2026 with strong momentum, continuing to drive growth, increase cash generation, and continue its geographic and industry expansion strategy.

Pre-audit results for FY’25 indicate an increase in EBITDA and cash generation from FY’24, with EBITDA having grown from ~$105m in FY’24 to ~$130 million* in FY’25. This continues the Group’s track record of strong growth over the last 8 years from ~$30m at the time of formation in 2017 to ~$130m at the end of FY’25.

The Group has also continued its strategy to diversify its business mix, with over 50% of its activity coming from renewables, minerals, infrastructure, defence, and government sectors compared to 25% in FY’24.

This strategy is further supported by recent acquisitions, including the addition of Trand Inc. (Trand), a US-based provider of crane services supporting wind turbine repair and maintenance. The acquisition strengthens Centurion’s capabilities in the onshore wind sector and enhances its heavy lifting services offering in the United States.

Centurion has scaled significantly through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions, having completed 24 acquisitions since its formation in December 2017.

Global Highlights

Centurion has continued to deliver projects across its global regions in recent months, supporting customers operating in complex, challenging, and remote environments:

US : Completed the acquisition of Trand in early 2026, supporting continued expansion into the renewable energy market across multiple states. This has driven momentum in Centurion’s regional crane business line, with over $60 million in active bids tendered and $18 million already awarded, with projects expected to commence in Q2’26 and Q3’26. Diversification from its core oil and gas business has continued, with Centurion’s US accommodation business delivering solutions for key geothermal projects.
Canada : Successfully delivered emergency temporary housing and associated infrastructure for a remote community displaced by wildfires, including accommodation units, water treatment packages and ancillary equipment. Continued delivery across the energy sector, including accommodation, wastewater management and crane services on a new multi-rig programme.
UK & Europe : Continued to expand its industrial footprint through the acquisition of Kabin Hire in October 2025 and Aerial Platforms Limited (APL) in May 2025, with APL successfully expanding to new locations across the UK.
Middle East & North Africa : Delivered a strong opening quarter, securing $70 million in new orders. It also executed large-scale projects to exacting certification standards across the Middle East, Europe and Australia. Projects spanned Technical Modular Buildings, Pre-Assembled Pipe Racks, Pre-Assembled Units, and Blast-Rated modules, with core rental offerings expanded internationally to further strengthen competitive position and support continued momentum.
Asia Pacific : Deployed two new large camps on hire to renewable energy projects in New South Wales and Western Australia. Rapid Camps, acquired by Centurion in December 2025, continues to build operational momentum in the renewable energy sector. Work secured to develop standard water disinfection designs for Australian community supply program, alongside a dewatering and operations award on an iron ore mine following the recent successful installation of a temporary wastewater treatment plant.

Headquartered in Sawyer, Kansas, Trand is a family-owned and operated business with a strong track record of delivering complex lifting operations to the onshore wind industry. Its expertise strengthens Centurion’s existing lifting services in the United States, while introducing additional specialist heavy lift capabilities aligned with the growing onshore wind market in the Mid-West.

Fabricated in Abu Dhabi, the two-storey structure weighs over 600 tonnes and represents the scale and precision of Specialist Services’ technical modular building capabilities. The project incorporates more than 75 km of cabling and over 200 instrument panels built to meet stringent Australian standards.

Every phase of the project showed a strong commitment to quality, safety, and performance, ensuring the unit was built to perform from day one. Q. Tell us about your professional background and industry experience.

A. "I started my professional career in the Royal Australia Navy as an Electronic technician, which is where I first got the taste for travel. After that, I spent over 15 years working for a global energy services provider, starting as an offshore controls engineer working on subsea production systems. Over time, I progressed into project engineering and operations engineering roles based in Norway and Malaysia, before eventually moving into sales and later management positions.

"I was fortunate enough to take on several senior leadership roles at that time, including four years in Malaysia as VP of Services APAC. I later moved to Aberdeen for 18 months to serve as VP Subsea for the North Sea business which was another great professional experience.

"During the COVID-19 pandemic, my family and I made the decision to move back to Australia. I took the opportunity to complete my MBA during a short sabbatical before taking on my current role with Centurion, where I’ve now been in for three years."

Q. What does a typical day look like for you as Regional President?

A. " It’s a balancing act! I spend much of my time speaking with our teams, particularly the managers across the various business lines in the APAC region, to understand any challenges they may be facing and where I can help support solutions as well as identifying any potential opportunities we can capitalize on. I’m also always looking for opportunities where we can grow and strengthen our position. At its core, I consider my role to be a problem solver – helping to remove bottlenecks so our teams can focus on running and growing the business.

"I also travel a fair bit, which I enjoy. I really love to spending time with people across the business and stay connected to what’s happening on the ground. Getting the chance to visit our teams in Singapore, Perth, Dubbo and Brisbane as often as I can and meeting people face-to-face is always a highlight."

Q. What makes your regional team stand out?

A. "The passion of our people. I’m incredibly proud of the great individuals we have across Centurion and what we’re able to achieve together. Their commitment, teamwork, and drive to deliver for our customers really sets them apart – it’s that shared focus and willingness to support each other that allows us to consistently operate at a high level and take on new challenges with confidence."

Q. Tell us about your proudest achievement with Centurion to date.

A. "There are countless milestones our APAC teams have achieved together over the last few years, but a few stand out in particular. One of the most significant has been bringing in three new acquisitions to our team—BBB Remote Site Services, Westwater, and Rapid Camps—and the positive impact they’ve had on our business. Each has strengthened our capabilities and expanded what we can offer customers across Australia.

"I’m also incredibly proud of the two new large camps currently on hire to renewable energy projects in New South Wales and Western Australia. These projects really demonstrate what our team is capable of delivering and where future opportunities lie for our business."

Q. What excites you most about the future with Centurion?

A. "Limitless opportunity. For some, this may feel uncertain because direction can’t always be fully defined, and where we grow next may not even be on the cards yet. For me, that’s exactly what makes it exciting. At Centurion, great ideas are listened to and are acted on. Earlier in my career at large organizations, it was often difficult to have ideas heard, and even harder to shift the direction of a big ship. What stands out to me at Centurion is that each of us has the opportunity to contribute ideas and help shape where we go next. That ability to stay dynamic and create new opportunities together is what I find most energizing about the future here."

Q. When you’re not at work, what do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A . "I enjoy travelling with my family, particularly immersing ourselves in different cultures and cuisines. I also like to keep active by playing Australia Rules football – although these days its only with other old men! When I get the chance, I also appreciate the peace and quiet of fishing, which is a great way to unwind and spend time outdoors."

H2M Delivers Customer Offshore Accommodation Modules for Wind Turbine Installation Vessel

H2M Offshore Accommodation (H2M), a Centurion company in the Netherlands, has successfully delivered nine 33ft lightweight offshore accommodation modules to support operations on a wind turbine installation and service vessel.

The project included four 33ft four-person sleeper modules alongside five custom-configured modules, which will serve as a client lounge, office, meeting and dirty mess facilities, and a reception module. Together, these modules create a fully functional accommodation and working environment for personnel onboard.

All modules were manufactured in-house using H2M’s proven lightweight 33ft design and completed within a tight project schedule. Following manufacturing, the units were LRQA certified before being transported to Denmark, where the H2M team carried out mobilization, installation, and commissioning of the complete setup.

Installed on a purpose-built jack-up vessel supporting wind turbine installation activities, the modules provide safe, reliable, and high-quality living and working spaces in a demanding offshore environment.

The project highlights how H2M’s highly configurable module designs – combined with in-house manufacturing and experienced project execution – support offshore wind developments worldwide.

Q. Tell us about y our professional background and industry experience.

A. “I always had a fascination with figuring out the way things worked and technology, so I attended Louisiana Tech University, graduating with degrees in Petroleum Engineering and Business Management. I accepted a position with a major international energy services company, where I spent 10 years in various roles.

“A few notable achievements in which I take pride include being chosen as the field test coordinator for three new cutting-edge technologies during my tenure as a Field Engineer. I held various roles in sales and line management before making the decision to accept a position with a global integrated provider of energy technology. I spent the next 18 years of my career in various leadership roles, including Director of Eastern Region Operations and Director of Sales for the US region.

“I realized that one of the most rewarding aspects of my career was bringing out the best in a team to achieve incredible results – a drive that dates to my days playing and coaching sports. One of the key aspects of a successful team is a coach that understands what drives each person in to reach their full potential. I was looking for an opportunity to do something similar when I learned of an opening with Oil Patch Group (OPG) – legacy brand that formed part of Centurion’s US region. I decided to make a career move and accepted the position of Vice President with Centurion in 2021.”

Q. What does a typical day look like for you as Regional President?

A. “The role of Regional President is very dynamic and multi-faceted. On any given day, I’m working closely with different facets of the leadership team, ranging from finance, QHSE, HR, legal, operations and IT. Most days involve review of market intel to inform long term strategy and business alignment.

“Safety and quality are central drivers for our business. Centurion’s US region performs thousands of jobs annually – and keeping our employees, others around us and the environment safe is the upmost importance.

“I believe communication is a key component to the success of any organization and central to my job. Providing regular communication for our employees helps them understand how the company is performing and keeps everyone aligned with overall vision and strategy. Our business has five key product lines; for each of them to be successful, it is imperative to understand the opportunities and challenges they are facing, how to tackle them, and support sales and operations for growth.”

Q. What makes your regional team stand out?

A. “Our US regional team is competitive, passionate and driven to succeed. I am fortunate to work with such a talented group of individuals that work well together and have the drive to create a company that our employees can be proud to work for, while delivering the best services and products for our customers.”

A. “I have many hobbies and consider myself an active person. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my wife and two sons. As my sons were growing up, they were very athletic and I had the privilege to coach them in various sports. I have to admit – we are very competitive today and I think that comes from the drive that my father instilled in me as I grew up. Now that our sons are grown, I enjoy traveling with our family to build memories that will last a lifetime. I also play golf, snow ski and enjoy various other outdoor activities, as well as woodworking projects.”

Centurion’s Asia Pacific region has successfully completed the design, delivery, and installation of a 192-room modular camp and full water and wastewater treatment system for a major renewable energy project in New South Wales, Australia.

Developed to support the construction workforce delivering new transmission infrastructure, the custom-built camp provides high-quality accommodation with a central focus on safety, comfort, and compliance. Designed in-house by Centurion Accommodation & Modular (AU), the camp was tailored for the site’s cool climate and met all relevant Building Code of Australia standards. Facilities include ensuite bedrooms, commercial kitchen and dining, recreation areas, a gym, on-site shop, and faith and first aid rooms.

Centurion Canada Delivers Emergency Housing and Infrastructure to Support Remote Recovery Efforts

Centurion has successfully delivered a turnkey emergency accommodation and infrastructure solution to support recovery efforts in a remote northern Alberta community impacted by recent wildfires.

Mobilizing quickly in response to urgent housing needs, Centurion deployed temporary accommodation and services to 11 remote sites within just eight weeks. By mid-November, all units were fully occupied, providing safe and reliable shelter and amenities for displaced families.

The project showcased strong collaboration across Centurion’s Canada business lines. 16 accommodation trailers, a camp setup, a wellness centre, and a gym were delivered as part of the scope, in conjunction with potable water storage, repurposed sewer storage systems, power distribution, a wheel loader, and full-service logistics.

Centurion also coordinated carpentry, propane and electrical work, and all on-site logistics, highlighting the team’s ability to deliver rapid, integrated solutions in remote and complex environments.

This achievement reflects Centurion’s dedication to supporting emergency community response and critical infrastructure needs across Canada’s most challenging and isolated regions.

Centurion Supports Responsible Tourism in Canadian National Park

Centurion’s Canadian Water & Wastewater Solutions business line and Trido Energy Services (Trido) – a Centurion company – recently joined forces to deliver a custom off-grid solar upgrade for a remote tourism facility on an island in a national park.

Initially engaged to improve the site’s wastewater effluent, the Water & Wastewater Solutions team developed a tailored treatment solution to meet environmental and operational requirements. During site assessments, it became clear that the existing solar system was undersized, resulting in frequent generator use. Trido was brought in to deliver a robust solar power upgrade – demonstrating the strength of Centurion’s integrated service offering.

Trido’s installation featured a high-efficiency 48-volt solar array, a maintenance-free battery bank using gel technology, and an advanced inverter-charger system. The new setup delivers more than three times the site’s previous energy capacity and improves long-term system reliability, even in extended low-sunlight periods.

This project highlights Centurion’s ability to provide sustainable, fit-for-purpose solutions in some of the most remote and environmentally sensitive locations. By combining wastewater and renewable energy expertise, the team helped improve the resilience of a critical facility in one of Canada’s most iconic national parks.

Headquartered in Fremantle, Western Australia, Rapid Camps delivers temporary turnkey accommodation infrastructure, facilities, and support services for remote projects – deploying 100-300 capacity camps designed for Australia’s harsh and remote conditions. Rapid Camps is led by Rupert Kerr, who will continue to manage and operate the business.

This acquisition comes as Centurion upsizes its credit facility by ~$52m USD, with the company now having $125m USD of firepower available for acquisitions and strategic CAPEX investments for 2026 and beyond. Additional credit has been provided by ATB Financial, HSBC, The Royal Bank of Scotland, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Virgin Money.

The acquisition of Rapid Camps strengthens Centurion’s operational footprint in Australia, closely aligning with its existing temporary accommodation businesses in New South Wales and Western Australia. The move further consolidates the Group’s position as a market leader of camp solutions, while continuing the diversification of the Group into high-growth sectors.

A fundamental pillar of Centurion’s strategy to drive growth is making strategic acquisitions and new locations, expanded geographic reach and additional product lines, with Rapid Camps being its fourth in 2025. It follows the acquisition of Kabin Hire, a rental provider of portable accommodation in the UK, Aerial Platforms Limited, a UK-based powered-access rental firm, and Westwater Enterprises, an Australian water treatment business announced in January.

Custom Industrial Washdown Treatment System for a Major Gold Miner

Centurion’s Water & Wastewater Solutions business line has completed a purpose-built truck washdown wastewater treatment plant for a major gold mining operator in Boddington, Western Australia. The system is now operational and supporting cleaner fleet maintenance, improved industrial wastewater treatment, safer handling and ongoing compliance with environmental requirements.

Scope of Work

The client needed a reliable treatment system capable of processing heavily contaminated washdown water from heavy mobile equipment. The solution had to be fully automated, simple to operate and designed to suit WA’s harsh conditions while meeting site-specific electrical, instrumentation and environmental standards.

Key requirements included:

High-efficiency removal of solids, oils, grease and emulsions
Low operator involvement
Weather-protected, durable design
Support for installation, commissioning and operator training

The washdown stream contained a complex mix of contaminants that exceeded what a traditional oily water separator could manage. The plant also needed to cope with fluctuating flows while reducing manual handling and protecting sensitive equipment from the elements. Integration with existing site systems added further complexity.

Chlorine Dioxide for Safer, Efficient Water Treatment

WestWater (a Centurion company) replaced sodium hypochlorite with a ChloriDOS iOX Chlorine Dioxide system to tackle THM compliance risks. The upgrade reduced by-products, improved iron and manganese removal, and delivered safer, higher-quality water for the community.

Scope of Work

A water utility client was using sodium hypochlorite as the oxidising agent for iron and manganese removal. However, this process was causing an increase in Trihalomethanes (THMs) to beyond acceptable levels, creating compliance risks and treatment inefficiencies.

The client’s existing process relied on 10% sodium hypochlorite combined with a coagulant prior to filtration. This approach led to:

High THM formation, with average levels of 122µg/L and spikes up to 250µg/L, exceeding tolerable limits
Longer contact times required for sodium hypochlorite to effectively oxidise manganese and iron
The need for a safer, more efficient oxidation process to reduce by-products and improve overall water quality

Execution

WestWater implemented the ChloriDOS iOX Chlorine Dioxide generation system as an alternative oxidant. Chlorine dioxide was chosen for its stronger and faster oxidation capacity (2.5x that of chlorine) and lower THM formation.

The system operates by:

Using 9% hydrochloric acid (HCl) and 7.5% sodium chlorite (NaClO₂) in a controlled chemical process to generate chlorine dioxide solution
Volumetrically metering and mixing reagents under vacuum from dedicated chemical storage containers
Producing a homogeneous solution that is diluted with cold water before being safely stored under atmospheric pressure for dosing.

Outcome & Value Delivered

THMs reduced to less than 5µg/L, a major improvement on the previous system
Iron reduced from an average of 0.009mg/L pre-dose to 0.002mg/L post-dose
Manganese reduced from 0.325mg/L pre-dose to 0.005mg/L post-dose
Reduced demand for secondary disinfection chlorine, further lowering THM formation in the network

Scope of Work

The Coombabah Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) is the largest sewage treatment facility within the Gold Coast City Council, servicing an estimated population of around 330,000, approximately half of the City’s sewage.

An assessment of the sewage treatment plant catchment area found the existing facility would be at or near capacity by the end of 2021. The client needed to:

Safely store up to 25,000L of sodium hypochlorite on site
Deliver the ability to dose into a new chlorine contact tank at a quantified 1,100L/hr using a duty/assist dosing system
Strengthen bacterial disinfection and auxiliary treatment processes to ensure reliable sewage treatment for a growing population.

Our team was engaged to deliver upgrades to the Cranbrook Water Treatment Plant in WA, which sources raw water from two dams with artificial bitumen catchments.

The Cranbrook water treatment plant faced a number of pressing challenges:

Water quality issues had required carting water to site during poor quality events, creating additional costs and risks
The existing bulk chlorine tablet dosing system often resulted in non-compliance with chlorine levels in the Cranbrook reticulation network
To safeguard public health, the client required the WTP to meet Level 4 source treatment standards, adding additional treatment barriers for pathogen protection.

Execution

Over a two-and-a-half-year period, WestWater designed and constructed major upgrades to the WTP, ensuring enhanced treatment capacity and long-term reliability.

The upgraded plant included:

pH correction
Coagulation
Disc filtration
Ultra-filtration
Ultra-violet disinfection.

Modifications were also made to the existing chlorination module to suit new chlorine dose rates.

Scope of Work

A major offshore operator required critical diesel filtration services to improve fuel quality aboard a Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel and a supporting supply vessel operating in Northwest Africa. The goal was to reduce contamination, protect onboard systems, and ensure reliable fuel performance in a challenging offshore environment.

Execution

Since initial commissioning in June 2024, Centurion's Fluid Filtration business line in the UK has treated highly contaminated diesel using a full-service filtration package to deliver clean, operational-grade fuel aboard the assets.

Within 450-minutes of deploying a new re-circulation process provided by Centurion, the team successfully reduced contamination of particles larger than four microns from approximately 60,000 to just 1,500 in 48m³ of diesel. Centurion Fluid Filtration (UK) also mobilized experienced filtration engineers, a high-flow filtration unit, filter consumables, diaphragm pumps, and hoses to support this critical scope.

Outcome

Centurion’s solution significantly improved the quality of the diesel fuel, enabling the vessels to operate more reliably while minimising wear and tear on critical systems.

This project highlights Centurion’s ability to deliver measurable, efficiency-driven outcomes in complex offshore environments — reducing operational risk and supporting more sustainable fuel use across the marine energy sector.

Synergy King Rocks Wind Farm - Accommodation Village & Water / Wastewater Treatment

Centurion supported Synergy’s King Rocks Wind Farm with a 189-room accommodation village, including ongoing hospitality services, and a custom water and wastewater treatment plant. Delivered through BBB Remote Site Services and Centurion Water & Wastewater Solutions, the project combines comfort, quality, and compliance for remote conditions.

Scope of Work

Construction of Synergy’s King Rocks Wind Farm is now underway near Hyden in Western Australia’s Wheatbelt region. The project will feature 17 turbines generating up to 105 megawatts of renewable energy, supporting WA’s transition to cleaner power.

Centurion is playing a key role in supporting the project through two of our specialist business lines – BBB Remote Site Services (BBB), a Centurion company, and Centurion’s Water & Wastewater Solutions business line – demonstrating how we deliver practical, integrated support for remote infrastructure projects.

Our scope included the design, manufacture and delivery of a 189-person accommodation village and custom-built water and wastewater treatment plants. These works are now complete, with Centurion continuing to provide catering, cleaning and full camp management services for the duration of the project’s construction phase.

Delivered under a Build, Own and Operate (BOO) model, Synergy engaged Centurion as a single turnkey partner to manage the entire project. We oversaw all coordination and on-site supervision of subcontracted trades, removing the need for multiple contractors and ensuring smooth delivery from fabrication and installation through to ongoing operations.

The project presented several logistical and operational challenges typical of large-scale renewable energy projects in remote regions:

Distance and accessibility
The remote Hyden location required modular designs that could be transported and installed safely and cost-effectively, with minimal need for heavy lifting equipment.
Tight timelines
The accommodation village needed to be ready ahead of construction of the wind farm to house rotating DIDO workforces, while ensuring compliance with strict safety and environmental standards.
Integrated utilities
The client required reliable water and wastewater infrastructure to support the camp workforce, with minimal operator input and full regulatory compliance.
Resident wellbeing
As workers would live on site for extended periods, the camp needed to provide a comfortable, safe, and community-oriented environment.
Local community engagement
Synergy sought a partner who could actively support and contribute to the local community. With the wind farm expected to operate for decades, maintaining a positive and sustained relationship with the Hyden and surrounding communities was a key priority, from employing local workers and sourcing supplies locally to finding other meaningful ways to give back.

Accommodation and Camp Operations
Designed, manufactured, and constructed a 189-room accommodation village, including communal facilities, a quiet room, prayer rooms, female only gym, BBQs, recreational spaces and licensed premises.
Implemented side-loadable building technology, allowing safer, faster, and more cost-effective installation without cranes or pilot vehicles.
Delivered full camp management services, including catering, cleaning, and maintenance – ensuring a seamless transition from construction to operations.
Designed a comfortable living environment with spacious rooms, quality finishes, chef-prepared meals and a fan-shaped village layout with open walkways. This layout maximises privacy, creates a central hub and naturally brings residents together for a stronger community feel.
Community and Compliance
Appointed a Community Engagement & Wellness Coordinator to build meaningful connections with the Hyden community and support local engagement.
Prioritised local procurement and employment, sourcing supplies and trades from Hyden, Kondinin, and the broader Wheatbelt region.
All works were delivered under ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certified systems covering quality, safety, and environmental management.
Water and Wastewater Treatment
Designed and installed a custom water and wastewater treatment plant built for reliability, minimal maintenance, and compliance with Department of Health standards, and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DEWA).
Systems were commissioned and verified to meet strict environmental standards, ensuring safe, efficient operation for the duration of the project.
Ongoing performance monitoring covers KPIs such as uptime, water quality, and resident satisfaction.

New Wastewater System Supports PNG LNG Facility Expansion

Centurion’s Water & Wastewater Solutions business line delivered a modular Sequencing Batch Reactor (SBR) wastewater treatment system for an LNG project outside Port Moresby in Papua New Guinea, designed to support a growing workforce and integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure. A key success was the reuse of three existing 150 kL tanks, which reduced capital costs, shortened delivery time and lowered the project’s footprint, important advantages for remote sites. The staged system scales from 500 to 750 EP, with durability, efficiency and future expansion built into the design. The treatment plant was ready for operation in November 2025.

Scope of Work

Options to reuse infrastructure – cost-effective use of existing infrastructure was a priority to reduce overall capital expenditure.
Scalable, versatile design – the solution needed to integrate with the existing Hides Gas Conditioning Plant (HGCP) SBR system and support future capacity increases

Centurion’s Water & Wastewater Solutions business line delivered a high-performance MBR wastewater treatment plant for Talison Lithium’s expanded Greenbushes camp, increasing capacity by 95kL/day to support 880 personnel. Scope of Work

With Talison Lithium’s camp expanding from 500 to 880 personnel, the need to increase wastewater treatment capacity became critical. Centurion was engaged to design, supply, and install a new Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) to operate in parallel with the existing 500EP system.

Increased capacity requirements – an additional 380EP (95kL/day) of treatment capacity was needed to meet the growing camp
Stringent effluent standards – the system had to comply with the Department of Health's “High Risk” effluent quality standards for safe reuse
Infrastructure integration – the new WWTP needed to integrate with existing balance tanks and the UV disinfection system

ROV Control System Replacement and Life Extension

Centurion refurbished a long-idle Work Class ROV and Tether Management System (TMS) for a Thailand-based subsea services provider, delivering a cost-effective alternative to new equipment by integrating its proven Gladiator Control System. The fully upgraded system is now operational in the field, avoiding millions in capital costs and long lead times, while delivering a reliable, future-ready system.

Scope of Work

While our UK Subsea team was already refurbishing a Work Class ROV (WROV) and Tether Management System (TMS), the client approached us in search of a reliable, cost-effective alternative to purchasing new equipment. Our existing system had been in long-term storage, with missing and outdated components—many of which had been removed to support other assets. Replacing the system with a new one wasn’t feasible for the client due to the AUD $8–12 million price tag and lead times exceeding 12 months. The client needed a technically sound solution that could be delivered quickly—without the heavy capital expenditure.

Execution

Centurion’s Subsea Services business line carried out a complete refurbishment of the WROV, centered on the integration of our Gladiator Control System – a proven solution used across our fleet of Multi, AUX and Track ROVs.

Our scope included:

Installation of Gladiator PODs across the ROV, TMS and full topside control system
Replacement of all sensors and navigation systems
Retention and upgrade of original valve packs with CSS PCBs
Supply of a new Atlas manipulator with proportional control
Full TMS hydraulic system upgrade with intelligent valve pack
Supply of new control van, power van and workshop containers
Refurbishment and repainting of the ROV buoyancy and TMS frame

Our software and engineering teams also implemented enhanced diagnostic tools, remote support capabilities, and provided spare kits to support field operations.

Expansion of Water & Wastewater Treatment Infrastructure for Atlas Iron

Supporting Fugro with Spooling, Load Testing & Fast Turnarounds

Centurion supported Fugro with critical equipment replacement and testing during a tight port call at AMC Henderson. Using specialized hydraulic spooling winches, fluid power systems and a team of NATA-accredited inspection personnel, we completed the works safely, on time, and without disrupting other contractors working on the vessel – helping Fugro stay on schedule and showcasing our local expertise and reliability.

Scope of Work

Fugro engaged us to support maintenance works on the Fugro Etive while berthed at AMC Henderson. The project involved the replacement and testing of critical offshore equipment during a short port call – work that needed to be completed efficiently, safely, and without disruption to parallel work scopes, to keep the vessel’s next mobilisation on track.

They required:

Replacement of a 3,500m ROV umbilical, critical for subsea operations
Replacement and proof load testing of a 3,506m, 56mm offshore crane rope
NATA-accredited inspection services
Sustainable disposal of redundant rope

Execution

As a trusted provider with extensive local experience, we deployed our Perth-based team and specialized rental equipment needed to deliver the job, including:

Specialized hydraulic spooling winches required to handle the 56mm diameter, 30 tonne reels of ROV umbilical and crane rope
A crew of trade-qualified technicians and mechanical service specialists
NATA-accredited inspection personnel
Fluid power systems that drive the winches
Pressure lubrication system to lubricate and preserve the crane rope
Water bag test weights for load testing the lifting equipment

Centurion Secures Major Contract On Hydro Energy Storage Project

Centurion has been awarded a significant camp hire contract with a leading design, engineering and construction solutions customer to support a major renewable energy installation in Australia.

Combining the strengths of Centurion Accommodation & Modular (AU) and Centurion Water & Wastewater Solutions (AU), the camp hire project will house workers on a ground-breaking hydroelectric storage system. The project is set to play a significant part in supporting Australia’s Net Zero goals and the transition of local electricity to renewable energy.

The package consists of an 84-room camp comprising of 28 accommodation modules and six additional multi-purpose modules to support site workers. The additional modules will contain a gym, office blocks, bathrooms, a laundry module, a large wet mess / recreation room (including a pool table), a large kitchen & dining module, generators and water tanks supporting the site workforce. Centurion Water & Wastewater Solutions will support this camp hire contract by providing a rental potable water disinfection module for the site.

Supporting Subsea Pipeline Decommissioning in the Gulf of Thailand

Centurion supported one of the Asia-Pacific’s largest subsea pipeline decommissioning campaigns, an ambitious multi-phase project in the Gulf of Thailand that began in March 2024. Working alongside a leading subsea contractor, we provided a full suite of cutting and recovery tools, workshop cabins as well as personnel to enable the safe and efficient removal of over 335km of aging pipeline.

With Phase 2 now completed, this project highlights the critical role Centurion is playing in delivering practical, cost effective and safe solutions for complex offshore decommissioning.

Scope of Work

Phase 1 which started in March 2024, required the recovery of 64 pipelines ranging from 2 km to 21 km long and 6” to 18” in diameter. Many were encased in concrete weight coating (CWC), adding significant cutting complexity.

Key challenges included:

Variable and incomplete information on legacy pipeline condition
Efficient and safe removal methods for CWC and non-CWC lines
Navigating environmental and regulatory requirements
Weather and vessel constraints affecting progress
Selecting cutting tools that maximized performance and reduced downtime

Execution

Centurion worked closely with the project stakeholders to determine the safest and most efficient removal approach. Multiple methodologies were used, including reverse S-Lay and cut-and-recover techniques with shears and chop saws.

To manage the varied pipeline conditions, our team:

Tailored cutting tool selection to each pipeline
Ran System Integration Testing (SIT) to validate equipment performance
Refined methodology continually as real-time offshore learnings emerged

A standout example occurred when a standard blade reached its limits. Instead of slowing the campaign, our engineers worked with the OEM offshore to design a custom CWC-pruner blade. It enabled single-pass cuts where multiple passes had been required, significantly improving speed and reducing wear on equipment.

This practical, solutions-focused approach is core to how we work. Whether it’s modifying equipment, sourcing improved tooling or adjusting methodology on the spot, our team is driven to find safer, more efficient ways to deliver.

Outcome & Value Delivered

By March 2025, Centurion’s work in Phase 1 delivered measurable improvements in efficiency and tool performance:

64 pipelines recovered
22,000+ shear cuts and 5,000+ chop saw cuts completed
Optimized tooling across varying conditions, including:
Tungsten Carbide Tipped (TCT) blades – the fastest performance (16” pipe in 4 min)
Diamond blades for CWC – 16” CWC in 12 min; 18” CWC in 18 min
Genesis GSS775 shears for fast and efficient cutting
Reduced cutting time through better blade selection and improved methodology

Phase 2 – started July 2025

Following the successful delivery of Phase 1, the client re-engaged Centurion to support Phase 2, confident in our performance, problem-solving capability and understanding of the scope.

Phase 2 involved another 12 pipelines totaling 85 km, from 140 m up to 13.7 km in length (6” to 12” diameter). The operation was delivered through coordinated support from Centurion teams in APAC and UK, using a fully integrated spread of subsea tools, control cabins, recovery systems and offshore-certified equipment, all pre-tested and ready for rapid mobilization.

The three-month program involved continuous 24/7 activity aboard the DSV Van Gogh and DLV HQ1200.

Centurion’s role has gone far beyond supplying equipment. Our offshore experience, real-time problem-solving and willingness to engineer better solutions as conditions change have helped make a complex decommissioning program safer, faster and more efficient.

With global demand for subsea pipeline decommissioning growing, the insights gained from this campaign offer a valuable blueprint for operators looking at future projects.

The new base will play host to Centurion Lifting Services (AU), Centurion Power & Equipment (AU) and Centurion Subsea Services (AU). Boasting a 2400m2 purpose designed warehouse / workshop and featuring state-of-the-art facilities tailored to meet unique customer requirements, the hub will play a key part in supporting Centurion’s continued growth and development in the region.

Centurion Group (“Centurion” or “the Group”), a global leader in the supply of specialist rental equipment and services to critical industries, today publishes the following business update.

The Group is pleased to announce an upsizing of its existing credit facilities by ~$50m taking the Group’s overall facilities from ~$330m to ~$380m.The additional credit facilities have been provided by ATB Financial, HSBC, The Royal Bank of Scotland, The Toronto-Dominion Bank, Wells Fargo Bank and Virgin Money to increase Centurion’s firepower to ~$100m for acquisitions and strategic capex investment in 2025.

This follows the completion of two strategically important acquisitions for the Group. At the end of 2024, Centurion acquired Althoff Crane Service Inc. and Buffalo Ridge Transport Inc. (together, “Althoff”). Althoff is a Minnesota-based crane rental company delivering heavy lifting solutions to onshore windfarm projects across the US Midwest. With cranes ranging from 50T to 715T, Althoff’s best-in-class wind turbine repair and maintenance services increases Centurion’s renewables capabilities in the US onshore wind market.

The Group also announces the acquisition of WestWater Enterprises (“WestWater”) in Australia. WestWater specialises in potable water treatment systems for municipal and industrial processes, and further strengthens Centurion’s existing water and wastewater business in Australia.

To date Centurion has completed 20 acquisitions, in the UK, US, Canada, Europe, UAE and Australia since the Group came together in late 2017, and is building momentum with 10 of these acquisitions over the last three years.

Acquisitions are central to the Group’s growth strategy and to accelerate its expansion into structurally growing end markets such as renewables, minerals, infrastructure, environmental, defence and government. Centurion was commissioned to support a long-term production program involving over 100 wells in a geologically challenging basin within the Mountain West region. The customer required a high-performance, scalable solution to manage pressure control, reduce equipment changeout, and improve logistics efficiency.

Execution

Centurion deployed its patented Hydralok™ valve technology across 106 wells to support high-pressure, multi-stage fracturing operations. Each well utilized 10 Hydralok™ valves, with stacks rigged down and efficiently redeployed to subsequent wells – significantly reducing downtime and simplifying site logistics.

In addition to pressure control, Centurion supplied modular accommodation units and fluid management services, providing a fully integrated support package from multiple business lines. Operations were delivered safely and efficiently over a 32-month period.

CEO Succession: Retirement Of Fernando Assing And Appointment Of Euan Leask As CEO

He will stand down from his role and the Board at the end of Q1 2025 and will be succeeded by Euan Leask, currently Chief Financial Officer of Centurion. Following a handover period Euan will assume his role on Fernando’s retirement and a process to appoint a new Chief Financial Officer will commence shortly.

Fernando and Euan have been the management team of Centurion since 2018, developed the strategy together and have led the transformation of the Group from an energy focused rentals business to a more integrated, more diversified international rentals and services Group serving multiple industries. Over this period the Group has grown both organically and by acquisition, with the acquisition of 18 new businesses into the Group, accelerating Centurion’s international expansion and extending the Group’s activities into various growing sectors such as renewables, minerals, infrastructure, environmental, defense and government. The Group’s profits have grown significantly with Proforma EBITDA of ~$111m in 2024 (2017: ~$33m) even after the successful divestiture of the infrastructure business in Canada. Trido Supports Multi-Phase Methane Reduction Program for Canadian E&P Operator

A conventional oil and gas operator required a long-term solution to reduce methane emissions across its well sites in Western Canada. The objective was to lower vented methane volumes in line with environmental performance goals and emissions regulations.

Execution

Trido, part of Centurion’s Canada region, worked with Bonterra Energy Corp. to deliver a multi-phase emissions reduction program through Trido’s carbon credit program. The program began in October 2020 and deployed a range of methane mitigation technologies across field sites. In phase one, high-bleed devices were upgraded to low-bleed alternatives, pumps were replaced, and air compressors were installed – resulting in an estimated reduction of 24,600 tonnes of CO₂e annually. In phase two, Trido installed solar-driven chemical injection pumps and additional air compressor units, delivering an additional 1,400 tonnes of CO₂e in annual reductions.

Outcome & Value Delivered

Trido's methane reduction technologies helped lower emissions across the customer's well sites while supporting long-term environmental performance goals.

Combined, the two phases were estimated to reduce approximately 26,000 tonnes of CO₂e per year – the equivalent of planting more than 429,000 tree seedlings. The Seagreen Offshore Wind Farm is Scotland’s largest and the world’s deepest fixed-bottom offshore wind farm. Located 27 km off the coast of Scotland, the installation consists of 114 wind turbines, generating renewable energy for over 1.6 million homes. Centurion was engaged to provide critical services during the wind farm’s construction phase.

Centurion’s Power & Equipment business line was initially contracted to conduct key LOLER inspections on newly installed wind turbine jackets. The work was completed on time, within budget, and in full compliance with safety protocols.

Following the successful completion of the inspection phase, Centurion was awarded an additional scope to address the project's snagging list. This included re-torquing and grating handrail bolts, inspecting guardrail weldments, and performing other critical structural repairs.

Centurion employees have worked together to volunteer with AberNecessities, a local, non-profit charity that supports underprivileged families in North East Scotland.

Staff from across Centurion UK are taking turns dedicating an afternoon of volunteering at AberNecessities each week, where they have helped to wash and prepare donated clothes, organize and distribute donations to health centers, charity offices and more. Additionally, Centurion UK has graciously donated the use of a container free of charge to AberNecessities, providing the charity with extra storage space until they move to their new premises in the new year.

Sapura Energy required a turnkey 70-man Living Quarters (LQ) complex for installation on the Integrated Central Processing Platform (ICPP) at the Pegaga Gas Field in Block SK320, offshore Sarawak, Malaysia. The project involved design, engineering, procurement, construction, outfitting, installation of equipment, third party approvals, testing, and pre-commissioning under stringent offshore safety and regulatory standards, with complex stakeholder coordination and execution during the global pandemic.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, delivered the LQ complex using modular construction to maximize offsite fabrication efficiencies and reduce site installation timelines and costs. The four-level structure—with total dimensions of 39.16m x 11.8m x 19m and a helideck on top—was designed for permanent offshore use.

The project required seamless coordination between Sapura Energy and Mubadala Petroleum in Malaysia, and Specialist Services teams across Dubai, India, and Singapore. These teams jointly managed engineering, project management, techno-commercial, transportation, installation, and delivery support. Despite COVID-19 restrictions, the modules were completed and shipped in Q2 2020, with installation and final commissioning supported on-site in Malaysia during challenging conditions.

Living and work spaces are fumigated in preparation for staffing or crew changes, using health Canada approved disinfectant and the appropriate PPE.

Case study

University of Arizona successfully prevented a Covid-19 outbreak in August by surveilling the raw sewage produced by the University dorms. The sample results came back positive. The students were then individually tested and two had confirmed cases. ExLog required a full refurbishment of a 27ft Zone II certified modular building originally manufactured in 1998. The project was awarded to Specialist Services with a tight 10-week deadline, involving complex repair and compliance tasks for continued use in Abu Dhabi’s regulated operational environment.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, began with a visual survey to define the full scope of refurbishment, including blasting and painting, component replacements (doors, locks, gaskets, drawer systems), HVAC servicing, and electrical and pressurisation testing. During execution, additional structural issues were identified, including failure of key HVAC components and the need to replace the A60 main door and emergency escape hatch.

Despite these unforeseen requirements, the Specialist Services team sourced all additional materials, completed necessary upgrades, and worked in close coordination with the client to deliver the refurbished unit on time and in compliance with safety and performance standards.

Outcome & Value Delivered

The project was completed within the original timeline, and ExLog was highly satisfied with the quality of the refurbishment and the effective handling of additional scope changes.

As a result, ExLog awarded Specialist Services further refurbishment contracts for four additional modular buildings. The refurbished unit is now back in operation in Abu Dhabi, delivering renewed value from an asset in use since 1998.

Successful Completion of 2-Lane x 15m Modular Firing Range

Scope of Work

A confidential client in Abu Dhabi required a fully integrated modular firing range to support immersive training operations, including both live fire and judgmental simulation scenarios.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, designed, manufactured, installed, and commissioned a 2-lane x 15m Modular Firing Range (MFR) composed of two CSC-certified modules. The range delivered 360° ballistic containment with a zero surface and vertical danger zone (SDZ/VDZ), using 12mm SSAB Hardox AR500 steel plates combined with BSW Regupol E43 rubber tiles to prevent ricochet and backsplash.

A granulated rubber bullet trap was installed at the downrange end, using a 60cm layer of angled rubber granules to safely decelerate and capture projectiles. Each lane featured an overhead retrievable target system capable of programmable movement, lighting effects, and scenario-based stop points.

The Air-Conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV) system ensured clean air delivery with laminar airflow and a three-stage filtration system (MERV 6, MERV 14, and HEPA 99.97% at 0.3 micron filters) to prevent the release of airborne toxins generated during firing exercises.

Outcome

The Modular Firing Range was delivered and commissioned on time in November 2019, meeting all client specifications for safety, mobility, and performance.

The solution provides a zero surface danger zone and supports dynamic training requirements with minimal environmental impact. Tecnicas Reunidas required prefabricated, skid-mounted Electrical Technical Room (ETR) and Instrument Control Room (ICR) buildings for installation at the Hail Oil Field offshore Abu Dhabi, operated by Abu Dhabi Oil Company (ADOC). The project demanded blast-resistant, fire-rated structures equipped with HVAC, fire suppression, and electrical systems—engineered, manufactured, tested, and delivered under a tight schedule in a complex offshore environment.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion's Middle East & North Africa region, undertook the full scope, including design, engineering, fabrication, installation of HVAC, interconnection cabling, fire detection and suppression systems (HSSD and NOVEC), and pre-commissioning.

The ICR building (21m x 8.3m x 9.4m) was completed in 22 weeks and the larger ETR building (34m x 11m x 10.8m) in 26 weeks—both within the client's timeline. Additional design changes were managed during execution without delay, demonstrating engineering agility and strong coordination with Tecnicas Reunidas and third-party inspectors.

Transportation of the ETR posed a logistical challenge due to its dimensions, requiring detailed planning and coordination with local authorities for in-land movement to Mussafah Port using SPMTs. Final weighing operations for both buildings were completed using hydraulic jacks and load cells at Specialist Services’ Abu Dhabi yard.

Both ETR and ICR buildings were successfully delivered on schedule in April 2017 and accepted by the customer following thorough testing and inspection.

The ICR weighed 114 tonnes and the ETR 237 tonnes, both meeting all structural and functional criteria.

Sea Trucks Group required reinstatement and modification works on previously delivered portable accommodation modules to support offshore operations in Australian waters, 890 km west of Darwin. The modules, originally fabricated in 2014, needed to be adapted into a 44-unit accommodation block—11 modules wide and 4 high—to house up to 224 personnel onboard under MLC and ABS compliance.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, deployed a dedicated team of specialists from its Dubai facility to the client’s selected shipyard in Batam, Indonesia. Works included converting existing modules to accommodate new functions such as Gymnasium and Recreation Rooms, upgrading HVAC systems, improving drainage, modifying door and panel configurations, and integrating new electrical and communication infrastructure.

All modules were interconnected and stacked to form a unified structure with updated fire & gas cabling, distribution panels for each floor, and revised patch panel positioning for communications. Electrical drawings and stacking studies were also updated to reflect the new configuration, with all modifications aligned to ABS and MLC requirements.

Completion of Innovative Indirect Water Bath Heater with Burner Management System

Scope of Work

A customer operating in Kuwait required a skid-mounted gas-fired Indirect Water Bath Heater equipped with a SIL 2-rated Burner Management System (BMS) for Zone II, IIA, T3 Hazardous Area installation. The solution needed to function reliably in harsh, humid conditions and support safe and efficient process operations in a remote oil and gas environment.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion's Middle East & North Africa region, engineered, manufactured, and delivered the complete heater and skid-mounted BMS system. The heater featured an explosion-proof industrial burner, with fuel supplied via a gas train certified for Zone II installation.

To mitigate environmental risks posed by high humidity, the BMS was integrated into a custom-built SS316 stainless steel control panel with Z-type purging. Internal components were treated with conformal coating to withstand ambient challenges. The design enabled safe, remote operation and was mounted on a modular skid for ease of transport and deployment.

Zakher Marine International required a large-scale Temporary Living Quarters (TLQ) complex to accommodate 150 personnel on board the QMS Pearl jack up barge offshore Abu Dhabi for Zakum Development Company (ZADCO). The solution needed to be ABS certified, A60 fire rated, installed on a limited laydown area, and delivered within a short lead time for a minimum contract duration of 615 days.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion's Middle East & North Africa region, supplied and installed a 77-module TLQ complex, including 75 ABS certified Accommodation Modules and two combined modules to serve as a larger recreation room. To meet the tight delivery schedule, 10 modules were newly manufactured, while another 10 were transferred from Specialist Services’ Singapore facility.

Delivery of all modules and associated stairway and walkway systems to the site required coordinated multi-trailer logistics from the Jebel Ali yard to offshore Abu Dhabi. Onsite installation was completed within four weeks, thanks to the exceptional coordination between Specialist Services’ teams in the yard and on site, and in close collaboration with the client and other contractors.

Centurion was contracted to upgrade and refurbish office spaces, mud laboratories, and recreation areas aboard a drilling rig during its tow from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Invergordon, Rosshire. The challenge was to deliver a comprehensive accommodation refurbishment and upgrades project within a tight six-week timeline, under operational constraints related to offshore rig transfer and complex scheduling.

Execution

Centurion’s Accommodation & Modular team began the project by deploying two outfitters onboard the rig. A full survey of the accommodation was conducted, and a detailed report, including budgets and upgrade recommendations, was submitted. Upon client approval, Centurion mobilized its team to deliver refurbishment works across multiple accommodation areas.

The team managed procurement, design adjustments, material logistics, and manpower to meet the client’s requirements on schedule. As the timeline was extended from 6 to 18 weeks, the scope expanded to include five additional areas due to the high standard of the initial execution.

Custom-built furniture, lighting, ceiling systems, wallcoverings, and flooring were all manufactured, delivered, and installed within the extended project period. Specialist Services Completes 20 Man Accommodation Extension for SBM

Scope of Work

Specialist Services, part of Centurion's Middle East & North Africa region, was contracted by SBM Malaysia to engineer, construct, and deliver a modular accommodation extension to support a Rig-less Intervention System (RIS) on the BC-10 FPSO offshore Brazil. The project required a turnkey 20-man accommodation solution, including associated utility systems and integration with existing onboard facilities.

Execution

The 20-man accommodation extension was engineered as five A60-rated modular units, each housing two 2-man cabins with private en-suite bathrooms, furnishings, air conditioning, and safety equipment. Additional scope included a sewage treatment plant (STP) module, potable water skid, master skid for structural elevation, walkway enclosures for blast protection, as well as vertical and horizontal bumpers to facilitate offshore installation.

Designed to meet stringent interface requirements with both the existing accommodation block and the FPSO systems, the solution included connections for fresh water, sewage, ventilation, electrical power and control systems, personnel access, fire detection and safety.

All units were certified by ABS and met the following standards:

Class I Zone 2, Gas Group IIA hazardous area classification
Brazilian NR13, NR30, and NR10 compliance
ABS class rules Guide for Crew Habitability on Offshore Installations
Bahamas regulations on crew accommodation

Throughout project execution, Specialist Services managed several client-requested design modifications, including telecom integration, additional PA systems, enclosure redesigns, and bumper installations. Pre-commissioning and testing were carried out over 50 days under close supervision by Shell representatives.

The modular accommodation was successfully completed and handed over to SBM on 19th September 2014, ready for integration on the Shell BC-10 FPSO offshore Brazil.

24 Module Multi-Purpose TLQ Complex for Gulf Drilling International

Gulf Drilling International required a DNV-certified, A60-rated Temporary Living Quarters (TLQ) complex to accommodate 46 personnel onboard the GDI Dixie Patriot lift-boat, supporting operations for Dolphin Energy in Qatar. The modular solution had to be delivered within a tight two-month timeline and tailored to meet additional H₂S safety requirements due to elevated gas concentrations at the operation site.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, designed and delivered a 24-module, multi-purpose TLQ complex on a rental basis. The complex included accommodation, gymnasium, recreation, conference and locker rooms, offices and medic facilities with a complete bolted walkway system, all designed around a fully modular installation. Several units were converted into double-wide configurations—combining two 20' modules—to support larger internal spaces such as the recreation room and conference area, while retaining full DNV, A60, and CSC certifications.

The walkways for the TLQ complex were designed and constructed using a fully weld free bolting design for the first time and were fabricated and installed on site within a 3-week project lead time. The team also installed a dedicated gas detection system with dampers linked to a gas monitoring panel on the vessel bridge, meeting the client's stringent H₂S safety standards. The entire project was completed at Damen Shipyards in Hamriyah Port, Ajman, in alignment with the vessel’s scheduled sailing.

Outcome & Value Delivered

The TLQ complex was delivered on time and in full compliance with client and regulatory requirements, enabling the GDI Dixie Patriot to support upgrade operations for Dolphin Energy’s platforms in Qatar.

Crude Oil Custody Transfer Metering System for Emerson

Scope of Work

Emerson required a fully integrated Crude Oil Custody Transfer Metering System for Phase Two of the Halfaya Surface Facility Project in Iraq, operated by Petrochina / MOC. The project needed to be executed and tested within a compressed timeline of less than six months, with strict requirements for flow testing, quality assurance, and pre-handover acceptance for additional internal testing by the client.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, engineered and delivered a complex metering skid system consisting of a 32" skid inlet/outlet, three 16" duty metering streams, one 16" standby stream, and two additional 16" spare streams for future expansion. The system includes a bi-directional prover, sampling system with water injection skid and water draw system.

Within six months, all fabrication, trial assembly, testing, and re-installation were completed— with the majority of works successfully executed in April alone. Flow testing was conducted using four pumps to achieve a flow rate of 3,200 m³/h at 6 barg for nearly 24 hours. The tests were witnessed by Bureau Veritas, Petrochina, and MOC representatives.

Outcome

Specialist Services met the demanding timeline, handing over the system for client testing and completing all packing and dispatch within three days. The system was delivered to Emerson on 26th May 2014 and subsequently installed in Iraq by August.

Completion of 58 Man Living Quarters for ConocoPhillips

ConocoPhillips required a fully outfitted 58-man offshore Living Quarters to be installed on a process platform in the North Belut Oil Field, Indonesia. The project presented several challenges, including strict weight limits for a single lift, complex safety requirements due to hazardous area placement, and the need for a high-quality, multi-level internal fit-out—all to be delivered on time and within budget.

Execution

Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, undertook the engineering, procurement, construction, and load-out of the four-level accommodation module. To meet the client's 750-tonne lift limit, a stressed skin structural design was used alongside lightweight materials such as GRP bathroom pods, aluminium helideck components, and integrated fire divisions.

The external bulkheads were engineered with a combination of J30 jet fire and H60 hydrocarbon fire ratings, with blast resistance features integrated throughout. All external fixtures—including HVAC systems and lighting—were made Zone 2 compliant. Internally, the module was fitted to the latest IMO standards with high-quality marine-grade finishes, housing facilities such as offices, bedrooms, a recreation area, gym, galley, infirmary, control room, and more. Load-out took place successfully in May 2008 ahead of its 5,000-mile journey to Batam for final integration with the CPP deck.
