Althoff Crane (Althoff), part of Centurion’s US region, has secured a key wind turbine project, solidifying its foothold in the country’s onshore wind sector.

The contract will see Althoff provide crane services and lifting expertise for a multi tower wind project located in Montana.

The project will entail providing highly skilled crane services on six wind turbines to increase efficiency and improve performance. These major component services are conducted to continue to help meet growing power demands across the US. The work will be performed using Althoff’s powerful and versatile 350-ton (350mt) Manitowoc MLC 300 lattice crawler crane.

Althoff’s track record in delivering complex heavy-lift operations in the renewable energy market played a direct role in the successful award of this contract – and will directly contribute to the extension of the wind farm’s operational life.
