Rapid Camps, part of Centurion’s Asia Pacific region, has secured a contract with Yindjibarndi Energy Corporation (YEC) to deliver a 204-person workforce camp for the Jinbi Solar Project near Karratha, Western Australia.
Under the agreement, Rapid Camps will design, build, own and manage the accommodation camp for two years, supporting construction activities for Stage 1 of the project on Yindjibarndi Country in the Pilbara.
Rapid Camps’ scope includes the full camp solution, from initial design and construction through to ongoing camp management services, helping provide a safe, reliable and comfortable environment for the workforce during the construction phase.
Jinbi is YEC’s first project to reach Financial Close and represents a significant milestone in Indigenous led renewable energy development in Western Australia. YEC is a partnership between Yindjibarndi Aboriginal Corporation and ACEN, a leading renewable energy company in the Asia Pacific region.
With the contract now executed, planning and mobilization activities are underway ahead of project delivery.
