A major gas producer operating in the North Sea faced persistent issues with its original filtration system, where the filter material was collapsing under operational conditions - causing equipment downtime and project delays. A new, robust solution was needed to restore reliability and efficiency. 

Execution

Centurion's Fluid Filtration business line collaborated closely with the customer to investigate the root cause of the failure. After identifying the limitations of the original filter material, the team designed and manufactured a bespoke cartridge using a combination of stainless steel, nylon, and high-temperature adhesive. This innovative approach reinforced the filter’s structural stability and resilience under pressure.

Our bespoke filtration solution reduced equipment downtime and improved operational reliability for offshore gas production in the Netherlands.

The custom filter solution exceeded the customer's expectations and has been successfully deployed on two platforms in the offshore Netherlands.
