Centurion Delivers Subsea Equipment and Expertise for Major Decommissioning Project in Thailand

Share

Scope of Work

A major international subsea services company operating in Thailand required a full package of critical back deck equipment, specialist technology, and experienced personnel to execute complex subsea construction and decommissioning scopes on behalf of a global energy producer in the region. The project included pipeline and jacket removal under tight operational timelines in a remote offshore setting.

Execution

Centurion was selected based on its ability to act as a single-source supplier with competitive pricing, industry-leading equipment specifications, and proven global coordination capabilities.

Centurion’s UK-based subsea team supplied and shipped specialist cutting tools, including shears, rotary cutters, HPUs, a pipe retrieval system, pipe grabs, and umbilical reelers with hoses. In parallel, the Singapore team procured and fabricated custom components locally to complete the full equipment spread.

A successful trial cut was conducted in the UK and remotely witnessed by the customer prior to mobilization. Additionally, Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region supplied two workshop containers, via Specialist Services, carrying critical spares and tooling to support the continuous 24-hour operation offshore.
Centurion’s global collaboration enabled seamless integration of capabilities and ensured all equipment and personnel were mobilized rapidly and effectively.

Outcome

Global collaboration across Centurion regions supported complex subsea decommissioning operations in a remote offshore environment.

Centurion delivered the full equipment spread and personnel on time, meeting the project’s compressed schedule and operational complexity. The integrated global delivery model – spanning the UK, Singapore, and MENA regions – showcased Centurion’s capability to operate with speed, precision, and technical excellence in demanding offshore environments.

The customer benefited from efficient operations, minimized risk, and optimized equipment performance during critical decommissioning scopes. This successful delivery reaffirmed Centurion’s strength as a global partner in subsea decommissioning and complex offshore projects.
