Centurion Engineers Custom Subsea Solution for Decarbonization Customer
Scope of Work
Verlume, a technology leader in decarbonization through intelligent energy management and storage, required a fit-for-purpose subsea basket for a Renewable Subsea Power project to be deployed in the UK North Sea. The solution needed to meet strict specifications for operational performance, safety, and sustainability within the renewables sector.
Execution
Centurion brought together its Accommodation & Modular (UK) and Fluid Filtration (UK) business lines to deliver a custom-engineered solution tailored to Verlume’s requirements. Drawing on the expertise of Centurion’s Engineered Solutions team, the company designed and delivered a Step Change in Safety Basket, built through a circular economy approach.
Rather than fabricating a unit from scratch, an existing basket was carefully converted and upgraded to precise customer specifications—minimizing waste, reducing environmental impact, and lowering overall project costs.
The solution was delivered on time, within budget, and ready for deployment to the North Sea.
Outcome
Centurion successfully delivered a fully customized subsea basket that met Verlume’s operational and sustainability goals.
The project actively supported a key Subsea Power deployment in the UK North Sea. By leveraging cross-business line expertise and a circular approach, Centurion provided an efficient, environmentally conscious, and high-quality solution, demonstrating our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in the renewables sector.
