Centurion Group ("Centurion" or "the Group"), a global leader in the supply of specialist equipment and services to a range of critical industries in complex, challenging and remote locations, today announces the acquisition of Equipment World Inc. ("Equipment World").
Headquartered in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Equipment World is a provider of equipment sales, rentals and maintenance services across Northern Ontario. Operating from four locations in Thunder Bay, Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, the business offers a broad range of industrial equipment, including aerial work platforms, generators, compressors, pumps, heaters, compactors, trailers and forklifts.
The acquisition advances Centurion’s strategy to build a more diversified, multi-industry platform, broadening its equipment offering and customer reach in Canada. Equipment World’s complementary fleet and expertise will strengthen the Group’s ability to serve customers across forestry, paper, manufacturing, steel, construction and mining, while positioning it to benefit from long-term investment in mining, critical minerals processing, nuclear and construction.
As part of Centurion, Equipment World will continue to be led by its experienced and long-tenured management team, including President Lyle Knudsen, providing continuity for customers and employees as the business enters its next phase of growth.
Centurion has grown significantly through organic investment and acquisitions, delivering a strong performance in FY’25 and continuing its upward trajectory, with EBITDA having grown from ~$105m USD in FY’24 to ~$130m USD at the end of FY’25. Its acquisition pipeline remains strong, with a focus on growing end markets including minerals, infrastructure, construction, defence and government, while continuing to build scale and broaden its offering in core regions.
