Scope of Work
A major operator undertaking a large-scale offshore project in the North Sea required low carbon equipment to support operations while reducing emissions and improving efficiency. The customer sought an alternative to traditional diesel-powered compressors.
Execution
Centurion's Power & Equipment business line in the UK supplied two electric compressors from its latest fleet additions. The units were selected for deployment offshore for a minimum of three months, with further projects in discussion.
These state-of-the-art electric compressors were introduced as part of Centurion’s broader strategy to support customers in meeting their sustainability targets while maintaining high performance and reliability standards.
Outcome
Centurion's electric compressors helped reduce emissions and improve operational efficiency on a major North Sea offshore project.
The electric compressors delivered multiple operational advantages for the customer, including near-zero emissions, no refuelling requirements, reduced servicing needs, and approximately 50% savings in operational costs compared to diesel alternatives. Lightweight, compact, and easy to operate with plug-and-play functionality, the units also offered advanced noise reduction and adjustable pressure and volume control at the touch of a button.
This delivery showcases Centurion’s commitment to innovation and responsible operations, helping the customer improve efficiency while lowering their environmental impact.
