Scope of Work:
An oil and gas customer required crane and lifting support for a complex High Pressure, High Temperature (HPHT) well abandonment project in a remote area of Northern British Columbia. The scope included two large HPHT well abandonments and three smaller well sites, all located in a challenging environment only accessible via an ice bridge.
Execution:
Centurion’s Cranes & Lifting Services business line supplied a 200-ton crane, a 120-ton crane, and a rigger to support the customer’s 24-hour operations. Despite the logistical difficulties presented by the remote site access, Centurion successfully delivered and supported the project over a 46-day timeline. All equipment and personnel were mobilized to ensure continuous coverage and operational reliability in demanding winter conditions.
Outcome & Value Delivered:
The project was completed safely, on time, and on budget. Centurion’s support enabled the customer to meet their abandonment and remediation obligations while maintaining full compliance with environmental and safety standards. This project highlights Centurion’s ability to execute lifting operations in remote, high-spec environments under tight timelines.
