Hydralok™ Frac Valve: Cost-Saving, High-Durability Performance for Multi-Pad Operations

Share

Overview

Hydralok™ is an advanced frac valve design engineered to improve performance, reduce costs, and increase reliability in high-stage hydraulic fracturing operations. By locking out the valve bore from the valve body, Hydralok™ minimizes internal wear, extends service life, and simplifies maintenance. Its innovative design supports longer operational cycles and enhanced pressure control, offering a step-change in frac valve performance compared to conventional designs.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Extended valve life – Performs reliably across 250+ stages with servicing only required every ~12–15 stages, versus ~3–4 stages for standard valves
  • Reduced maintenance – Enables continuous use across up to 3 pads without redress, lowering downtime and field service requirements
  • Lower operational costs – Eliminates the need for high-spec sealing grease; standard lubrication grease is sufficient for effective operation
  • Enhanced grease retention – Lockout design prevents grease loss and ensures consistent internal lubrication
  • Improved uptime and safety – Bespoke pressure block and bleed system increases control reliability, reduces NPT (National Pipe Thread) failures, and extends valve replacement intervals
  • Operational efficiency gains – Reduces overall frac time by up to 2.43 days per job on multi-well pads (e.g., four wells with 50 stages each)
