Centurion Supports Critical Decommissioning Scope in North Sea
Scope of Work
A key operator in the North Sea required a safe and efficient solution to support the decanting of diesel from platform legs and the removal of hazardous drains—both critical to the platform’s decommissioning process.
Execution
Centurion's UK Accommodation & Modular, Fluid Filtration, and Centurion Flushing & Testing business lines combined their expertise to deliver a tailored equipment package. This included multiple large tanks with crossover connections, modified bunds, and pumping equipment designed specifically for the task.
To ensure operational readiness and smooth installation offshore, Centurion also hosted a System Integration Testing (SIT), where the full system was successfully demonstrated as a plug-and-play hook-up solution.
Outcome
Our tailored offshore equipment packages allowed for safe and efficient hazardous material removal for a major North Sea decommissioning scope.
The bespoke equipment solution allowed the customer to proceed with a key phase of its decommissioning scope, safely removing hazardous materials from an aging asset. The collaborative effort between the three Centurion business lines showcased our ability to deliver integrated, fit-for-purpose solutions to complex offshore scopes.
