Scope of Work
The U.S. Air Force’s 33rd Rescue Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Japan, required a highly secure, compact, and transportable field armory for the storage and maintenance of up to 200 weapons and associated equipment.
Execution
Specialist Services, part of Centurion’s Middle East & North Africa region, designed and delivered a 13’ x 8’ x 8’ deployable field armory constructed from ¼” steel and proprietary security panels. The unit featured flexible weapon racks, integrated environmental controls (air conditioning and dehumidification), exterior weapon mounts for maintenance tasks, and a NAPEC-rated HASP for secure closure.
Weighing just 9,000 lbs, the armory was engineered for deployment via C-130 aircraft or MTVR vehicle, enabling rapid mobility for mission-critical operations. The unit was built to an LPS 1175 SR3 security rating, ensuring high-level protection for sensitive assets.
Outcome
The deployable field armory was delivered successfully to the U.S. Air Force, meeting operational, transport, and security requirements.
Its lightweight, modular design and robust protective features provide the customer with a mobile and secure storage solution—enhancing readiness and mission flexibility in dynamic environments.
